You can help us tell the story of Luisa and migrant camps.
Even though Luisa first visited the migrant camps over 50 years ago, the story of those who work in the fields continues, and is still relevant today. I would like to include stories from all those who knew Luisa, those who lived in the camps, and those who supported the workers to settle in Oregon.
Five Ways You Can Help
1. Share: Please send your story and photos, and I will review them for possible inclusion in the book.
2. Identify:Please let me know if you can identify any of the people in the photos on this website.
3. Connect:Tell your friends about the project and inspire them to share their stories and photos.
4. Publicity: Let us know if you have a contact at a newspaper, magazine, television, radio or online media source.
5. Funding: Help us fund the research and editing of this book. We welcome contributions from foundations and historical societies, or from individuals who would like to see this story about migrant farm workers in Oregon reach a larger audience.
